Robert Lee made his stage debut as an opera singer back in 1983. He soon thereafter appeared  in Des Moines as the Ballad Singer in "Of Mice and Men."His career would eventually lead to appearances at Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, The Academy of Music (Philadelphia), and in concert at the Festival de Lanaudière (Montreal Canada). He made his debut as Santa for the 2019 holiday season, although his love for Christmas and for children is previously well documented. Within his first season, he was offered major retail appearances in New York City, an appearance on national television, and serves as the official Santa of the Trenton Thunder and Villanova University.
As Santa, he has  been featured on "Shark Tank", has done extensive commercial work ("PC Richard and Sons", Roach Energy NYC Jingle Ball) and special appearances (Saks 5th Avenue Light Show, Villanova Tree Lighting and Christmas Basketball Game, Short Hills and Cherry Hill Malls, Trenton Thunder Christmas in July).

As a character actor, Mr. Lee quite often appears as a character actor in commercials, on TV, and in theater.
